Preference of Urban Commuters on Implementation of Rail-based Public Transportation Plan in Mamminasata Area

Abstract The density of population and the increasing needs Makassar city will affect movement society to fulfill their necessary. Public acceptance on rail transportation is one important keys in implementing sustainable policies Mamminasata area. aim this study evaluate public regarding planned transportation. survey used methods questionnaire interview that included South Sulawesi Provincial Office with a total 1002 civil servants who were also users commuters, then data analysis was carried out by conduct research about characteristics respondent’s rail-based method collection conducted respondent chooses perspective likert scale. results show perception main factor policy
